F1ABY — NOT A TEAM — NOT A PODCAST — SOMEHOW WORSE

THE PADDOCK
WITHOUT
THE PASS.

F1ABY is for the fan who knows the tyre compounds, remembers the failed upgrade packages, and still has the self-awareness to know this is not normal behaviour.

WHAT THIS IS

A race report with an argument in it.

Every race gets treated like it matters because it usually does, even when the official recap has sanded all the interesting edges off. F1ABY follows the season arc, the technical clues, the championship maths, and the tiny moments that make a Sunday feel enormous.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

A neutral press release in teamwear.

No corporate fog. No pretending every strategy call was brave. No calling a disastrous pit stop “suboptimal” unless Gary has numbers and Kat has already corrected him.

THE PANEL

Barry, Gary, Kat. Somehow a system.

The old-school witness

Watched Senna, survived grooved tyres, still calls certain teams by names they have not used in decades. Barry is not anti-modern F1. He is anti-nonsense, which unfortunately keeps him busy.

The spreadsheet menace

Runs three fantasy leagues, tracks DNF risk like weather, and has a model for situations that should not have models. Often useful. Occasionally unbearable. Never knowingly under-tabulated.

The one with sources

Technical journalist, paddock notebook owner, quiet destroyer of bad assumptions. Kat explains what the teams will not say plainly and why the lap time appeared two corners before the TV noticed.
